Theresa Prins is the Founder of Revenue Resolutions and began her career at the Kei Apple Hotel. During her time at the Winchester Mansions, Theresa first explored revenue management. She was involved in the installation of IDeaS RMS, as a pilot site for Southern Sun Hotels revenue management project. After a 12-year career with The Vineyard, Townhouse and Oude Werf hotel group, she left her position as Group Revenue Manager to found her own consultancy. Theresa will moderate the panel discussion.

Christelle Carstens is Group Rooms Operations Manager for Peermont Hotels, Casino and Resorts and has been in the industry for 26 years. “I am a strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace. Working currently with people that are fanatically devoted to customer service and optimizing revenue in an interesting way to make money.”

Eighteen months ago, Efi Ella, who holds a Masters Degree in Finance and Revenue Management, joined the five-star Pepperclub Hotel as general manager after an eight-year stint as hotel manager of The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands. Efi has made the seamless transition and implemented many upgrades at the hotel and increased profitability, and has risen to the challenge of running an establishment in the heart of the Cape Town CBD.

Kim Weber holds the position of Business Optimisation Manager at Century City Conference Centre and Hotel. Here she is responsible for driving demand and optimising revenues while ensuring the best outcome for the business and guest. Her position consists of successfully combining the disciplines of marketing, revenue and sales. She attributes the success of the role to breaking traditional industry silos and adopting a multi-dimensional business approach. She has a Master Certificate in Revenue Management through Cornell University.

With a Bcom degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and more than six years’ experience in online hotel distribution, Liam Alexander adds great value to Providence Hospitality’s analytical and data-based problem-solving. He has a passion for technology, automation and optimization of systems within hospitality. He leads individuals with transparency, ethical practice and servant leadership. You will find Liam either reading up on the latest tech to improve his home PC or enjoying a flat white on his morning walk, with his dog Lyla.
